Job summary

Midwest Express Clinic in the Chicago area is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help keep our facilities safe and functional. You will inspect equipment, troubleshoot issues, perform general repairs, and assist with upkeep alongside the Operations Team.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, plus related experience; carpentry is a plus. On-the-job training is offered, and the role involves lifting up to 50 pounds and prolonged standing.

• Familiar with assembling and disassembling office equipment and furniture.
• Assist with upkeep of the facilities.
• Collaborate with the Operations Team to order supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
• Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
• Performs routine maintenance on building systems.

• Assist with upkeep of the facilities.

• Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Carpentry experience is a plus.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Related experience preferred.
• On-the-job training offered.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
