Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on plant machinery, equipment, and facility support systems to maximize equipment reliability and minimize unplanned production downtime.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and document repairs on production equipment including Wood CNC routers, vacuum systems, and associated tooling.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical equipment failures.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules with Production Management and external contractors.

The role, at a glance:

The Maintenance Technician maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, and improves manufacturing equipment and facility support systems used in speaker production. This position is responsible for preventive maintenance, calibration activities, equipment reliability, and minimizing production downtime. The role supports CNC woodworking equipment, coating systems, compressed air and ventilation systems, magnetizers, and other manufacturing assets.

How you'll contribute:
  • Perform preventive maintenance on plant machinery, equipment, and facility support systems to maximize equipment reliability and minimize unplanned production downtime.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and document repairs on production equipment including: Wood CNC routers, vacuum systems, and associated tooling Polyurea coating and finishing equipment Magnetizers and related production equipment Compressed air, ventilation, and dust collection systems Hardware insertion equipment and other manufacturing machinery
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical equipment failures.
  • Work with Production Management to coordinate maintenance schedules and equipment downtime activities.
  • Coordinate with Facilities personnel and external contractors to support utility, infrastructure, and equipment-related projects affecting manufacturing operations.
  • Track and report preventive maintenance activities, corrective repairs, and equipment performance metrics.
  • Maintain calibration schedules and records for production equipment and tooling; perform in‑house calibrations and coordinate external calibration activities with service providers.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory, maintenance tools, and repair documentation.
  • Identify and implement improvements that enhance equipment reliability, safety, maintainability, and production efficiency.
  • Interface with various levels of management and cross‑functional teams to communicate priorities, report equipment status, and escape issues when necessary.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and production support needs to restore operations safely and efficiently.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and company procedures while performing maintenance activities and equipment repairs.
You’ll also support with:
  • Operating machine shop tools and equipment in support of maintenance activities and manufacturing improvements
  • Assisting with installation, commissioning, relocation, and startup of new manufacturing equipment
  • Assisting with facility maintenance projects as needed
  • Performing general housekeeping activities to maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly condition
  • Producing effective written and verbal pass-down communications
  • Traveling for equipment installation, maintenance, and technical training as required
  • Installing, modifying, and repairing compressed air distribution lines and related equipment within production areas
  • Participating in safety initiatives and support corrective actions resulting from safety observations or audits
  • Supporting continuous improvement activities related to equipment reliability, uptime, safety, and manufacturing efficiency
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor
Qualifications:
  • High school graduate with additional 2 years in a technical training program required
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with hands‑on maintenance and repair of PCBA and sheet metal equipment
  • Demonstrated ability in technical problem solving, troubleshooting, and reading mechanical drawings, schematics, and circuit diagrams
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications, and proficient in Excel
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written skills in English
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with various departments
  • Available to alternate schedules and work over‑time as needed
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Motivated with the ability to work with little daily supervision
Work Environment:
  • Warehouse environment
  • Minimal travel: ~5%
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, occasionally, with assistance
  • Stand or sit for long periods
  • Perform tasks (that may be repetitive) that require reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, walking, stooping and/or bending
  • Work in an environment that generates OSHA permissible machine noise levels
  • Use tools that require fine hand skills
  • Visually, observe and differentiate small moving parts
  • Ability to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required in designated areas
