Job summary

Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport Authority is seeking a maintenance professional to perform airfield and grounds upkeep, as well as general building repairs, painting, carpentry, plumbing, and cleaning. The role supports emergency response duties in coordination with the Aircraft and Firefighting team and participates in snow removal operations as needed.

Job description

Do you have maintenance skills? This is the job you've been searching for! Our Maintenance Team needs the right person to join them to provide maintenance at the airport. Responsibilities include all aspects of airfield and grounds maintenance, performing general building maintenance functions such as repairs to the facilities, painting, routine carpentry, minor plumbing and general cleaning. The maintenance team is required to be on-call for snow removal operations.

This position will be a member of the Aircraft and Firefighting team. Fire and rescue training is provided by the airport. Upon successful completion of the fire training, you will receive an annual salary increase of $5,200.

Available shift: Wednesday - Saturday 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM. Hourly rate: $22.87- $30.17 (based on experience).

• The applicant must successfully complete required fingerprint-based criminal history records check, employment background check, pass a pre-employment drug screening and possess a valid Virginia driver's license with driving record insurable by Authority's automobile liability carrier.

Salary: $47567.08 - $62763.75 per year.
