Job summary

Avenue5 Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Carson City, NV. The role involves performing maintenance across electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, and related systems under the supervision of the property manager.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in property management or related field, with strong carpentry skills and the ability to read and understand English. Full-time; benefits include health coverage and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least one year of experience in the property management industry or a directly related field.
  • Possess general maintenance and general carpentry skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance functions including repairs to electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, grounds maintenance, and other systems as directed by the supervisor or property manager.
  • Carry out general carpentry duties such as wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window/glass repair, door/lock repair, and ceramic tile repair.
  • Perform proactive preventative maintenance including siding, painting, lighting, sprinkler, pool, golf-cart, elevator and more.
  • Maintain work order system by verifying all orders are completed in a timely manner to company standards and resident satisfaction.
  • Inspect property grounds, buildings, and common areas to maintain safety and cleanliness standards and identify issues requiring maintenance, repair or replacement.
  • Assist with property emergencies such as snow removal, inclement weather emergencies, fires and floods.
  • Promptly communicate with maintenance leadership regarding all maintenance issues at the property.
  • Observe and promote safety and risk management in accordance with local, federal, state and company rules and regulations.
  • Participate in emergency on-call/after-hours assignments and adhere to established response times.
  • Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining cleanliness and curb appeal, interacting courteously and professionally with residents.
  • Build and maintain a positive, collaborative relationship with residents, other properties and agencies.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times, and promote the same to the team.
  • Adhere to all components of the company risk management program.

Salary: $23 to $25 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and current auto insurance required
  • Ability to read, write and understand English
  • Ability to use general office equipment such as telephone, fax machine, printer, copier, and key track system
