Job summary

GOEBEL FIXTURE COMPANY is seeking a facility maintenance worker to perform a variety of semi-skilled tasks in the upkeep, alteration, and repair of buildings and related equipment. You will work on ladders, scaffolding, and HVAC or irrigation systems, with safety programs and OSHA rules guiding daily tasks.

Qualifications include at least 2 years of physical/General work experience, the ability to stand long hours, and willingness to work weekends and holidays.

• Assist with maintenance tasks like cleaning filters, greasing, and inspections
• Follow safety programs and OSHA regulations

Summary

Performing a variety of semi-skilled and unskilled tasks in the maintenance, alteration, and repair of buildings and related facilities and equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Work with ladders, scaffolding and hydraulic lifts
• Work on blackout and ventilation and irrigation systems
• Required to comply with Safety Programs
• Follow all health and safety regulations when operating equipment
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
• Perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials
• PVC plumbing above and below grade
• General electrical work; conduit installation, pulling wire
• Assist a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed
• Use required PPE per OSHA regulations
• Help with various maintenance-related tasks like cleaning filters, greasing, and small inspections
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

• Minimum 2 years of physical work experience
• At least 1 year of general work experience

Required:

• Must be 21 + years old
• Flexible availability for work hours
• General mechanical knowledge
• May work independently, as part of a team, or as an assistant to a skilled trades person
• This position requires a 40-hour minimum work week. Willingness to work weekends and holidays if necessary.

• Ability to balance, reach grasp while climbing on a step stool and/ or 20' ladder
• Must be comfortable climbing up tall ladders, working at elevated levels
• Ability to be on feet while performing job responsibilities
