Packaging Corporation in California is seeking a maintenance technician to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems across plant equipment. The role emphasizes rapid response to downtime, adherence to safety policies, and ongoing skills development.

The candidate will participate in in-house training, with occasional external training requiring travel. A valid U.S. work authorization is required, and basic tools are expected for the role.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge and experience with repairing and maintaining mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC systems and industrial equipment.
• Be passionate about maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Ability to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as needed.
• Must have own basic tools (PCA will provide specialized tools and an annual tool allowance).
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Technical degree and/or comparable experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery in corrugated or packaging industry.

Responsabilités

• Perform maintenance to diagnose, repair, rebuild, replace mechanical, electrical, PLC, hydraulic and pneumatic systems on plant equipment and facilities.
• Use maintenance knowledge to increase productivity, decrease downtime and waste.
• Work with urgency to respond to machine downtime events.
• Will be required to complete in-house training programs to develop equipment-specific maintenance skills. External training may require overnight travel.
• Must follow safety and company policies including lock-out tag-out procedures.

Pay and Benefits

• Pay Range from $33.43- $38.21 based on skills and experience.
• Excellent Benefits Package including Health, Dental, Vision, and 401K Plan.
• Uniforms provided.
• Up to 100 paid training hours annually for technicians to advance through the progressive skill levels.
• Stipend for safety shoes, safety glasses and tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform a variety of maintenance tasks to diagnose, repair, rebuild, replace mechanical, electrical, PLC, hydraulic and pneumatic systems on all plant equipment and facilities.
• Use maintenance knowledge to increase productivity, decrease downtime and waste.
• Work with a sense of urgency to respond to machine downtime events.
• Will be required to complete in-house training programs to develop equipment specific maintenance skills.The position may also require attendance at external training that may require occasional overnight travel.
• Must be able to follow all safety and company policies that include lock-out tag-out procedures.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
