Job summary

Batavia Container, Inc. seeks an experienced electro-mechanic/maintenance technician to support manufacturing equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operation. You will read schematics, work with PLC hardware/software, and handle electrical panels and drives.

Responsibilities include inspecting, testing, repairing, installing, and maintaining motors, gear trains, and control components, while collaborating with operations to resolve issues and maintain documentation and parts inventory.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electro-mechanic experience in manufacturing.
• Strong proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints.
• Demonstrated experience with PLC hardware and software.
• Electrical panel and drive components.
• A/C and D/C motors.
• Gear trains, shafts/journals, pulleys, bushings, and bearings.

Responsibilities

• Verify and maintain safe housekeeping and compliance with safety policies.
• Obtain and maintain machine/service documentation and spare parts inventory for maintenance.
• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain electrical equipment including motors, drives, panels, and components.
• Work with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot and solve problems.

## Description**Essential Duties & Responsibilities:*** Verify and maintain good housekeeping procedures to ensure a safe and clean work environment.* Adhere to required and defined safety policies and procedures including food safety programs, OSHA regulations and PPE requirements.* Other duties as assigned.**Quality*** Obtain and maintain complete, proper, and up-to-date documentation for machine and facility service, maintenance, and preventative maintenance.* Maintain and purchase adequate inventory of required spare parts, materials, and equipment for preventative and corrective maintenance.**Delivery** - Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain electrical equipment:* Varying voltages, including but not limited to 480v, 240v and transformed 24v power.* Motors (all types), starters, breakers, transformers, isolation switches, relays, fuses, resistors, air conditioning, valves, AC Drives, and DC Drives.* Implement all maintenance projects and machinery installations.* Engage in preventative maintenance processes throughout facility.**Customer Service*** Work positively with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot and solve problems.* Excellent teamwork, cooperation, and problem-solving skills.## Qualifications**Required Qualifications*** 2+ years of electro-mechanic experience within a manufacturing environment.* Strong proficiency in reading schematics and blueprints.**Demonstrated experience with:*** PLC Hardware and Software* Electrical panel and drive components* A/C and D/C motors* Gear trains, shafts/journals, pulleys, bushings, and bearings.* High school diploma or equivalent.**Preferred Qualifications*** Customer service driven and focused.* Self-starter with ambition to take on additional responsibilities.* Maintain flexible schedule to accommodate 24-hour operations.* Develop corrugated industry knowledge.* Competent in Microsoft Office applications.**Conditions:** Heavy lifting, occasional fork-lift operation, electrical and mechanical work with various tools.
