Job summary

Central Package is seeking a 1st shift Production Technician for our corrugated and rigid box plant. This full-time role runs 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM and includes union benefits after 30 working days.

You will maintain and repair packaging equipment, perform routine preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot a range of mechanical and electrical systems. Ideal candidates have strong hands-on mechanical and electrical skills, experience with PLCs and HMIs, and are able to lift and handle parts up to

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform full-time hours with overtime as required.
• Excellent to advanced mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, electronics, and building maintenance skills.
• Working knowledge to excellent skill level in PLCs, HMI, data links, and production/shipping machinery.

Responsibilities

• Maintain corrugated and folding carton equipment, including preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair machine breakdowns (mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, PLCs, HMI, data links, electricity/electronics).
• Install new corrugated and rigid box equipment and integrate with plant systems.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical work and general repairs within the facility.

Corrugated & Rigid Box Plant - Opening for 1st Shift Production Technician

• Union Manufacturing Plant - join the union after 30 working days
• Manufacture corrugated and rigid box packaging and displays
• Full-time position available for 1st Shift - 6:00 A.M - 2:30 P.M.
• Competitive Wages and benefits - Starting Wage Range $27.40-$38.82 depending on skill level and prior work experience.
• Responsible for general maintenance work in the facility such as basic plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
• Responsible for adjusting, repairing and maintaining corrugated and folding carton equipment in our production plant. This includes performing routine and extensive preventative maintenance, basic and complex repairs, and installation of new corrugated and rigid box equipment, as well as current plant systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair machine breakdowns to include mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, programmable logic controllers, human machine interface, data links, electricity and electronics.

• Essential functions include the ability to work full-time hours, with overtime when required.

• Excellent to advanced mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, electronics, and building maintenance skills and knowledge.

• Working knowledge to excellent skill level in programmable logic controllers, human machine interface, data links, and production/shipping machinery and equipment.

• Very strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities
• Must be able to perform frequent lifting of up to 40 pounds with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
• Must be flexible with job duties assigned. The tasks assigned can and will change multiple times per day.
• Must be able to stand and walk short distances most of the shift.
• Must be able to perform frequent bending, stretching, squatting, reaching, climbing, pushing, & pulling for various tasks

• Good attendance and work ethic required.
• Prior experience in corrugated or folding carton maintenance preferred.
