Job summary

Southwire Company in Bremen, IN, is seeking a Night shift Maintenance Technician to support operations with a multi-craft maintenance focus. The role offers a starting compensation of $86,000+ in the first year with overtime potential and automatic increases in the second year, targeting $92,000+.

Shifts run 4:45 pm – 5:00 am on a swing schedule (2,2,3), averaging 36–49 hours per week and time off every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Industrial experience required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required (2-yr Technical Degree preferred)
• Strong Mechanical and Electrical background (up to 480v)
• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics and OEM manuals
• 5 years of industrial manufacturing maintenance experience

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using logical and systematic methodologies.
• Install and perform alignment on mechanical drive systems.
• Complete all assigned preventive tasks including major service and overhaul.
• Replacement of identified failed parts or components.
• Adjust equipment to bring it into operational specifications.
• Recommend process or procedure changes based on observed equipment behavior.
• Testing of electrical systems and continuity of circuits to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
• Maintain current and accurate maintenance data to determine establish historical records and future maintenance requirements.

• Support manufacturing operations by providing a full range of multi-craft equipment maintenance with focus on reliability and maintainability.
• Ensure sustainable operation of machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, conveyor systems, and other production machinery.
