Job summary

Nxt Property Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician for The Park Apartments in Bountiful, UT. The ideal candidate has 6 months to 2 years in apartment maintenance and can handle plumbing, electrical, drywall, appliance repair, grounds keeping, and customer service tasks.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the property manager, prioritizing work orders, and maintaining safety and quality on site. Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plumbing: repair, replace or install faucets, pipes, hot water tanks, toilets, disposals, dishwashers, water dispensers and washing machines.
• Electrical: repair, replace or install switches, fuses, outlets, lights, fans, climate control systems.
• Wall repair: fix drywall holes, texture and paint to match existing walls.
• Appliance repair: repair or install major appliances.
• Grounds keeping: daily cleanup on the property.
• Customer service: professional, courteous scheduling and work orders with residents.
• Time management: coordinate with property manager to prioritize work orders and Turn schedule.
• Alert Property Manager of liabilities or repairs.
• Willing to perform all tasks assigned by Manager.

MAINTENANCE TECH POSITION

Title: Maintenance Tech Department: Apartment Management

Reports to: Apartment Mgmt. Supervisor Interfaces with: Apartment Residents

Pay Scale: From $20.00/hour to $22.00/hour; depends on experience and skill level.

Nxt Property Management is seeking a property maintenance technician to join The Park Apartments in Bountiful. Preferably the right candidate 6 months to 2 years experience in apartment maintenance with the following experience and skill set.

Required Skills

• Attention to detail, organizational, time-management and problem solving skills,
• Superior customer service skills; ability to manage difficult customers and/or situations,
• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English,
• General Computer knowledge preferred,
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays.

Also, the Maintenance Technician must possess knowledge and skills in the following areas:

• Plumbing: repair, replace or install faucets, pipes, hot water tanks, toilets, garbage disposals, dishwashers, water-dispensing refrigerators, and washing machines, etc.,
• Electrical: repair, replace or install power switches, fuses, wall sockets, ceiling lights, ceiling fans, and climate control systems etc.
• Wall repair: Repair small and large drywall holes, texture walls to blend with existing walls, and paint etc.,
• Appliance repair: repair, replacement or installation of major household appliances, etc.,
• Grounds keeping: daily cleanup trash, dog poop (as necessary) on property.
• Customer service: professional, prompt and courteous correspondence with residents and vendors when scheduling and completing work orders
• Time management: coordinates daily and weekly with property manager to prioritize work order and "Turn" schedule.
• Alerts Property Manager of any potential liabilities or repairs,
• Willing to perform all tasks assigned by Manager.

Salary: $20 - $22 per hour
