Job summary

Peacock Properties, LLC in Boston seeks a hands-on Maintenance Technician responsible for completing assigned tasks promptly, updating progress daily, and keeping sites clean and safe after work. You will maintain a tidy vehicle, manage tool inventories, and support basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical tasks.

Experience in property maintenance and a valid driver's license are required. OSHA certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction painting and maintenance tasks.
• Valid Driver's License.
• OSHA certification (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance tasks assigned in a timely and efficient manner.
• Update assigned maintenance tasks daily.
• Ensure all work sites are left clean and safe after completion of assignments.
• Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle.
• Alert management when vehicle maintenance is needed and facilitate the maintenance.
• Maintain van inventory of tools and materials.
• Purchase materials necessary for maintenance items and submit work orders daily.
• Accurately track billable hours onsite and add them into work orders daily.
• Perform minor and routine maintenance activities including painting, carpentry, handyman tasks, light plumbing, and electrical work.
• Oversee contracted projects to ensure adherence to specifications as needed.
• Make recommendations for supplies, materials, and equipment needed on properties.
• Report additional findings/repairs to relevant staff to optimize maintenance requests and billable time.
• Assist the Board of Trustees and relevant staff in maintaining the physical condition of the building.
• Perform minor repairs in individual units on an emergency basis when necessary.
• Prepare and maintain a variety of maintenance logs.
• Respond to emergency situations as needed
