Job summary

Luther Oaks, a nonprofit senior living campus in Bloomington, seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep buildings, grounds, and equipment in safe, reliable condition. The role is full-time day shift with 8:00am–4:00pm hours and an on-call rotation for weekends and holidays.

Job description

Maintenance Technician — $18 to $21 an hour, full-time day shift at Luther Oaks, a senior living community in Bloomington. Steady 8am-4pm hours, no rotating nights, with a shared on-call rotation for weekends and holidays.

Luther Oaks is a nonprofit senior living campus with independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing all on one campus. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll keep the buildings, grounds, and equipment running so residents and staff have a safe, comfortable place to live and work.

What You'll Do

  • Repair and maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems across the campus
  • Complete preventive maintenance and routine inspections
  • Troubleshoot and fix issues in resident apartments and common areas
  • Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repairs, including during your on-call rotation
  • Keep accurate records of work orders and completed repairs
  • Maintain grounds and building systems to support daily operations

What You'll Need

Required

  • At least 1 year of maintenance or building services experience
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and supplies as the job requires

Preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in healthcare, senior living, or commercial facilities
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
  • Valid driver's license

Pay and Benefits

  • $18.00 to $21.00 per hour, with credit for prior experience

Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, plus an on-call rotation roughly every other weekend and on holidays.
