Job summary

WMFHA is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Bensenville, IL to keep equipment and facilities running safely and reliably. This hands-on role offers opportunities to troubleshoot, fix problems, and own projects from start to finish.

You will perform preventive maintenance, work with tools, manage inventory, and collaborate across teams while prioritizing safety. The position is on-site and requires relevant maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or related field.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and HVAC systems preferred.
• Experience using power tools and hand tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment and facility systems.
• Coordinate with purchasing personnel to obtain required tools, supplies, parts, and materials; may handle expedited purchases.
• Perform facility repairs, installations, construction-related work, and general maintenance as needed.
• Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance supplies, parts, and tools.
• Complete routine maintenance tasks and standard work assignments per procedures.
• Assist with maintenance-related projects and other duties as assigned.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.

• Assist with maintenance-related projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements And Desired Responsibilities

• 3–5 years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and HVAC systems is preferred.
• Experience using power tools and hand tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond to maintenance needs in a timely manner.
• Basic computer skills.

Compensation (DOE): $23-30/hr
