Job summary

Spherion Staffing, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to independently manage daily maintenance and equipment reliability at a Midwest Refrigerated Services location. The role requires hands-on expertise in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and building systems to execute PMs, perform durable repairs, oversee vendors, and maintain CMMS records.

The position covers multiple shifts (1st shift 6am-2:30pm; 2nd shift 1:30pm-10pm; various shifts available). Excellent benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Hands-on industrial maintenance across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and building systems.
• Experience with 480V/240V/120V circuits, motors, schematics, and power tools.
• Proficient with CMMS records and safety/regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electromechanical failures in dock doors, conveyors, wrappers, balers, and material handling equipment.
• Perform industrial electrical maintenance: circuit installs, motor diagnostics, disconnects, lighting, and code-compliant wiring.
• Carry out facility maintenance: plumbing, drywall, carpentry, roof, and HVAC/refrigeration repairs.
• Execute preventive maintenance on warehouse equipment and facilities with precise readings and logging.

The Maintenance Technician is the primary technical resource responsible for independently managing daily maintenance, equipment reliability, and facility upkeep at an assigned Midwest Refrigerated Services location. This role requires hands‑on expertise across industrial electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and building systems to execute preventive maintenance, perform durable repairs, oversee vendors, and maintain precise CMMS records.

Shift schedule: 1st shift Sunday through Thursday 6 am - 2:30 pm. 2nd shift Tuesday through Saturday 1:30 pm - 10 pm. Working hours: Various Shifts Available.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair electromechanical failures, dock doors/levelers, conveyors, wrappers, compactors, balers, scrubbers, and material handling equipment.
• Electrical Systems: Perform industrial electrical maintenance, circuit installs, motor diagnostics, disconnects, lighting, and code‑compliant wiring using a multimeter.
• Facility Maintenance: Execute plumbing, drywall, carpentry, roof, building envelope, and HVAC/refrigeration auxiliary repairs.
• Preventive Maintenance (PM): Perform routine PMs on warehouse equipment and facilities according to schedule, logging exact readings and findings.
