Job summary

Brookside Properties in Batavia, OH is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support multifamily properties. You will handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical tasks and general maintenance, with after-hours on-call as needed. A hands-on, customer-focused approach helps keep residents satisfied and properties well-maintained.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, HVAC/plumbing/electrical experience, basic hand tools, and good communication skills; EPA certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair or general maintenance experience.
• EPA Certification preferred but not required.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to respond to after-hours maintenance calls.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform unit turns and prepare apartments for new residents.
• Maintain building systems, common areas, and grounds.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance issues.
• Respond to emergency maintenance needs, including after-hours calls.
• Support safety standards, inspections, and compliance requirements.
• Assist with inventory and maintenance supplies.

What We're Looking For
