Job summary

Ontario Trillium Foundation is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for implementing safety plans and performing maintenance across multiple campuses. This role involves emergency management support, routine maintenance, and safety inspections.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and relevant vocational training. Benefits include health/dental plans, 401K, personal time off, and free meals. The schedule is M-F, 8am-4pm.

Qualifications

• Must be high school graduate or have equivalent qualifications.
• Completion of vocational education program related to maintenance preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Support organization-wide compliance with Life Safety Code.
• Complete routine and urgent building maintenance tasks.
• Conduct safety/security inspections weekly.
• Perform on-call emergency management duties.

Job description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for a variety of tasks associated with implementation of Pathway’s Safety/Environment of Care Plans. In addition, the technician is responsible for routine and urgent maintenance and safety tasks at multiple Pathway, Inc. campuses.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support efforts to monitor organization-wide plans to maintain compliance with the current Life Safety Code.
• Complete scheduled organization-wide routine and unforeseen building and grounds maintenance tasks
• Maintain Material Safety Data Sheet manuals
• Operate emergency generators and assist with periodic tests as required by standards
• Conduct safety/security rounds weekly.
• Schedule routine maintenance and urgent repairs to Pathway vehicles
• Available on-call for emergency management support.
• Building inspections, ground inspections, and equipment inspections.
• Repairs and maintenance
• Installs equipment and appliances
• Report any issues to the Vo-tech director
• Follow written and verbal instructions
• Use equipment including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, etc.

Requirements
