Summary:

Arrowhead Housing is currently seeking a self-starting, experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician, committed to providing first-class service to our residents and takes pride in improving the overall condition of the property itself.

Job description:

This position is full‑time. The schedule is 8-hour shifts, 4 days a week with some flexibility. This person will be part of an experienced maintenance team responsible for day‑to‑day maintenance operations including cleaning of grounds, painting, work orders and unit turnover. The maintenance technicians work with the managers and residents to support the property goals.

The perfect candidate will have the skills and qualifications listed below.

SKILLS
  • Plumbing: repairs, replacing parts, installation (sinks, toilets, faucets, etc.)
  • Carpentry: repairs and installs doors, shelves, countertops, locks, etc.
  • Painting: drywall/plaster repairs, painting
  • Electrical/Appliance: lighting, wiring, power circuits, replacing switches, lamps, etc.
  • General: cleaning, minor repairs and maintenance turnover
REQUIREMENTS
  • 1 year of experience in commercial or multi‑unit residential property maintenance.
  • Comprehend and communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • A valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Soft skills: motivated; team‑player; good communication, attention to detail, follow‑through; customer service; and personal accountability.
  • Represent the property in a professional manner at all times.
  • Must be able to carry 50+ lbs up multiple stairs.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Additional technical training certifications are a plus.
Compensation:

Starting pay is based on experience at $18‑20/hr. This full‑time position includes comprehensive benefits packages, including health insurance and a 401(k) with employer match, generous paid time off, paid holidays, and professional development and growth opportunities.
