Job summary

Toonen Companies Inc. in Appleton, WI is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will maintain apartment interiors, hallways, and common areas, and respond to resident requests with professionalism.

This role covers plumbing, electrical, HVAC basics, appliance repairs, and light carpentry. A valid driver’s license is required, and participation in on-call coverage provides on-call pay and the potential for overtime and holiday bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance in apartments, hallways, and common areas.
• Handle basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC-related repairs.
• Repair and replace appliances as needed.
• Conduct minor plaster, paint, carpentry, and cabinetry repairs.
• Maintain garage doors, fences, siding, and roofs.
• Respond to resident service requests promptly and professionally.
• Take initiative to resolve issues.
• Assist with resident events both during and after business hours.
• Participate in rotating after-hours on-call coverage with extra pay.

Maintenance Responsibilities And Requirements

• Perform general maintenance in apartments, hallways, and common areas.
• Handle basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC-related repairs.
• Repair and replace appliances as needed.
• Conduct minor plaster, paint, carpentry, and cabinetry repairs.
• Maintain garage doors, fences, siding, and roofs.
• Respond to resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Take the initiative to resolve issues.
• Assist with resident events both during and after business hours.
• Participate in rotating after-hours on-call coverage (approximately one week every four weeks, with additional pay and bonuses).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Toonen Companies Offers

• On-call bonus pay.
• $250 for regular weeks.
• $300 for holiday weeks.
• Overtime pay for all on-call hours during regular weeks.
