Job summary

Plastipak is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform and monitor preventive maintenance for extrusion blow molding equipment and support machinery, ensuring uninterrupted operations and high-quality output. The role emphasizes improving procedures, participating in changeovers, and repairing parts while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

Solid hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical knowledge; able to troubleshoot and solve problems.
Ability to interpret technical and operational documents, including manuals, blueprints, schematics.
Experience with Graham Wheel, case packers and box machines preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years maintaining manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance for extrusion blow molding and support machinery to assure uninterrupted operations.
Execute and continuously improve preventative maintenance procedures.
Participate in changeovers, ensuring efficient and correct execution.
Repair and rebuild spare parts as needed.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and procedures.
Expand expertise through formal training and on-the-job experiences, including new equipment installation.

You Will

Perform maintenance for extrusion blow molding and support machinery to assure uninterrupted & optimal operations
Execute & continuously improve preventative maintenance procedures
Participate in changeovers, ensuring efficient & correct execution
Repair & rebuilds spare parts
Assure compliance with all safety protocols, quality standards, operational practices & procedures
Expand your expertise through formal training & on-the-job experiences, including new equipment installation & equipment modification projects

You Have

Ability to work 3rd shift, along with overtime and vacation coverage as needed. Training is on 1st shift.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
A minimum of three (3) years of experience maintaining manufacturing equipment.
Experience with Graham Wheel, case packers, box machines is preferred.
Solid hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical knowledge, along with the ability to troubleshoot & problem solve
Ability to interpret technical & operational documents, including manuals, blueprints, schematics
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work on aerial platforms up to 20 feet with or without reasonable accommodation
