Status: Full-Time Permanent position including benefits

Schedule: 1st Shift, four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Role Overview

A manufacturing firm based in the Youngstown, Ohio region is looking for a skilled 1st Shift Maintenance Technician. In this capacity, you will manage the repair, replacement, and troubleshooting of facility support equipment and industrial production machinery. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining a productive, safe workspace while reducing operational downtime.

Key Duties

• Perform inspections, adjustments, and repairs on various production tools, including shop equipment and overhead cranes.
• Carry out routine electrical and mechanical maintenance schedules to help improve machine longevity and avoid unexpected breakdowns.
• Analyze and resolve intricate mechanical and electrical system malfunctions by utilizing schematics and blueprints.
• Document and deliver thorough maintenance logs to leadership concerning repair activities and equipment conditions.
• Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by strictly following OSHA guidelines and internal safety procedures.
• Collaborate with floor staff and management to organize repair tasks in a way that minimizes disruption to production workflows.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of practical experience repairing machinery within an industrial manufacturing setting.
• High School Diploma or GED is mandatory; additional technical or vocational training is highly valued.
• Demonstrate a high level of technical proficiency by interpreting complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
• Possess a deep understanding of electrical and mechanical system operations.
• Show the ability to execute tasks based on verbal guidance or hand-drawn sketches.
• Maintain clear written and verbal communication to ensure accurate documentation of all work performed.
• Apply your knowledge of industrial safety protocols to ensure you can work effectively within a manufacturing facility.
