Job summary

Arconic in Davenport Works seeks a Maintenance Technical Leader to drive results in the Ingot Department using ABS tools such as TPM, Kaizen, Daily Management and 5S. The role reports to the Lead Area Manager - Ingot and supervises up to 10 salaried staff and 50+ hourly crafts, with a need for readiness to respond to operational needs around the clock.

The position emphasizes safety, productivity, asset management and cost control, coordinating with other areas to sustain Davenport Works’

Responsibilities

• Accountable for results in the Ingot Department in EHS, productivity, asset management, people development, contracting out, cost control and quality.
• Lead to meet department objectives set by Manufacturing Managers with a collaborative approach across areas.
• Provide direct supervision to up to 10 salaried personnel and indirect supervision to 50+ hourly craft employees.
• Maintain flexibility to respond to operational needs on a 24/7 basis to support plant operations.

Job description

The Maintenance Technical Leader is accountable for results within the Ingot Department in Environment, Health and Safety, Productivity, Asset Management, People Development, Contracting Out, Cost Control and Quality using ABS (Arconic Business System) tools such as TPM, Kaizen, Daily Management, 5S, etc.

The Maintenance Technical Leader will engage the resources at their disposal to meet the focused department objectives set by the Manufacturing Managers in support of the business objectives. These objectives will be achieved without sacrificing a spirit of cooperation with other areas, so as to not detrimentally impact the vitality of Davenport Works.

The Maintenance Technical Leader will report to the Lead Area Manager - Ingot and provide direct supervision to up to 10 salaried personnel and indirect supervision to 50+ hourly craft employees.

While this is not a shift-based position, the role requires flexibility to respond to operational needs on a 24/7 basis, as necessary, to ensure business continuity and support plant operations.
