Job summary

Genesis Healthcare Center is seeking a maintenance-minded individual to support our residential care facility. The role involves hands-on maintenance, minor repairs, painting, and component replacements to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for residents.

The candidate should have experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and HVAC maintenance, with strong teamwork and reliable communication. Travel to other facilities may be required to support operations.

Qualifications

• Moderate level experience in building maintenance including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and HVAC maintenance may be required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with others.
• Ability to provide guidance under supervision and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate skills and knowledge of building maintenance.
• Make minor repairs, paint, change filters and light fixtures.
• Assist with HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing/Construction tasks as needed.
• Possess leadership skills and work well with others.
• Follow directions from facility administrator and Director of Maintenance.
• Travel to other facilities to assist when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Genesis Healthcare Center is seeking a person who is knowledgeable with building maintenance. Our company is family-owned, and we provide a safe and pleasant home for adults with mental illness. We strive to go beyond the norm to provide a better quality of life for our residents.

Responsibilities are, but not limited to:

• Able to demonstrate skills and knowledge of building maintenance.
• Make minor repairs, paint, change filters and light fixtures, etc.
• HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing/Construction/Carpentry/Trouble-shooting experience
• Possess Leadership skills
• Able to work well with others
• Responsible work history and reference
• Able to provide guidance as directed under facility administrator and Director of Maintenance.
• Willing to travel to our other facilities to work when needed
• Other job duties assigned by your supervisor

To be considered 'Well Qualified' candidate will possess moderate level experience in these areas.

• Carpentry
• Plumbing*

• Drywall (All phases from setup, installation, and finishing)
• Painting (interior and exterior)
• HVAC system maintenance*
• Acoustic tile work
• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to complete required paperwork and documentation
