Job summary

Wieland North America, Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Technician Specialist - Pipe-fitter at our East Alton, IL facility. The role focuses on hydraulic/combustion repairs, preventive maintenance, and quality troubleshooting.

The position requires heavy industrial/maintenance experience and the ability to work on swing shifts rotating across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. The ideal candidate will have welding skills (MIG/TIG/ARC/STICK) and experience with rigging and equipment mounting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years heavy industrial/maintenance experience or a four year apprenticeship certification.
• Experience with hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and combustion systems is required.
• Experience with mounting and setting equipment and repairing fluid power systems is a plus.
• Fabricating light gauge guarding and repair of metal products using welding is a plus.
• Understanding of infrared, acoustics and predictive maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with the operating crew to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Make complex decisions on hydraulic/combustion repairs and perform quality repairs the first time.
• Lead completion of more complex fluids troubleshooting and repair tasks.
• Collaborate with the production team for constant improvement.
• Complete work orders and data entry into the CMMS.

Wieland is hiring a Maintenance Technician Specialist - Pipe-fitter.The responsibility of the Maintenance Technician Specialist - Pipe-fitteristo handle hydraulic/combustion repairs and perform quality repairs and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will be competent in performing equipment repairs to varied mechanical and fluids systems including changing problem components and performing preventive maintenance on these systems. This position will be locatedat our East Alton, IL facility.

Starting Pay: $44.67/hour

Pay Schedule: Bi-Weekly

Work Schedule: Swing Shift (1st, 2nd & 3rd on rotatingweeks)

Responsibilities

• Work together with and/or leads the operating crew to minimize downtime and to maximize productivity
• Responsible for making the complicated decisions on how a hydraulic/combustion repair is to proceed and perform quality repairs the first time
• Responsible for leading the completion of more complicated and specialized fluids troubleshooting andrepair tasks
• Work with the production team for constant improvement
• Perform administrative duties as assigned including completion of work order documentation and data entry into the computerized maintenance system

Maintenance Technician Specialist - Pipe-fitterQualifications:

• Minimum of five years heavy industrial/maintenance experience or a four year apprenticeship certification required
• Experience with hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and combustion systems is required
• Experience with mounting and setting equipment (rigging experienced desired), repairing mechanical transmission equipment, repairing fluid power systems, general equipment breakdown maintenance, and heavy equipment experience is considered a plus
• Experience with fabricating of light gauge guarding and repair of metal products using Mig Welders, Tig Welders, Arc Welding, or Stick Welding is considered a plus
• Understanding of infrared, acoustics and other predictive maintenance practices is considered a plus
• Must be able to work swing shift and overtime as required
