Job summary

The Lodge at Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, AL is seeking a Housekeeping Houseman with open availability to join our team. This full-time role performs cleaning of corridors and public areas, assists housekeepers, and supports guest satisfaction through timely service and problem resolution.

Responsibilities include following safety procedures, handling linen and supplies, and maintaining equipment custody.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Walk all assigned floors at the beginning and end of shift; remove newspapers and service trays, empty receptacles, remove trash and/or linens and note areas that need immediate cleaning.
• Clean all public areas following safety and security procedures, including hallways, elevators, service and vending areas, stairwells, etc.
• Remove soiled linen, terry and trash from service areas and take to appropriate locations.
• Assist section housekeepers as needed (bed boards, roll-aways, additional linen).
• Fulfill guest requests and handle problems/complaints to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Report missing articles, damages or mechanical problems to the Supervisor.
• Turn in articles left in guest rooms to the Supervisor for Lost and Found logging.
• Secure and maintain custody of equipment, keys and supplies at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful, courteous demeanor.
