Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts in Indianapolis, IN seeks an Overnight Maintenance Engineer to keep hotel operations safe, efficient, and running smoothly behind the scenes. You will support boiler systems, kitchen and laundry equipment, and respond rapidly to maintenance calls.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, strong communication, and the ability to work through emergencies while coordinating with contractors and hotel teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in hotel or commercial building maintenance.
• Hands-on knowledge of commercial kitchen and laundry equipment; refrigeration a plus.
• Proven ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and time management.
• Comfortable using basic computer systems and mobile work orders.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventive maintenance schedules on all key equipment.
• Operate and maintain low-pressure boilers and other systems supporting hot water, kitchen steam, and A/C.
• Respond quickly and effectively to maintenance calls and emergencies.
• Assist contractors and fellow mechanics with property repairs and improvements.
• Maintain commercial kitchen, laundry, and pool equipment.
• Monitor and follow up on all assigned work orders and daily task lists.
• Stay in constant communication with team via radio during your shift.
• Know emergency protocols, fire safety systems, and OSHA regulations.
• Support other hotel departments as needed.
