Landmark Hotel Group in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician for Comfort Suites Chesapeake. This full-time role reports to the Chief Engineer and requires hands-on leadership to maintain guest rooms, public areas, and systems.

You will supervise daily repairs, manage materials, and uphold safety, quality, and guest satisfaction standards while supporting our family-oriented culture and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Three years experience in a hotel or commercial setting.
• Journeyperson experience in electrical, mechanical, plumbing or HVAC trade.
• Knowledge and experience in budgeting and expense control.
• Good attitude and work ethic to attain high guest satisfaction.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

We are seeking a dynamic Lead Maintenance Technician who loves to take care of our guests and is genuinely invested in the overall operation and success of the hotel. If you think you have the skills to drive guest satisfaction scores, offer considerate and thoughtful care to our guests and serve as the face of the hotel.

Core Responsibilities:

• Receive daily work assignments from Chief Engineer and review priorities and special projects.
• Active management in the supervision of all work and repairs being performed.
• Organize materials, tools and equipment to perform daily assignments
• Complete responsibility for maintaining the hotel's appearance, equipment and systems. This is a hands on position that requires active, vigorous leadership.
• Focus on quality, service standards, and the company mission statement is of paramount importance.
• Perform electrical, plumbing, preventative maintenance to guest rooms and public area work orders.
• Handle chemicals for designated uses/surfaces according to hotel requirements.

Qualifications:

• Commensurate or transfer skill set is primary importance. Three years experience in a hotel or commercial setting is required.
• Journey person experience in electrical, mechanical, plumbing or HVAC trade.
• Knowledge and experience in budgeting and expense control.
• Good attitude and work ethic practices in order to attain maximum operating efficiency while ensuring adherence to established guest satisfaction criteria.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as required.
