We are seeking a Maintenance Tech IV to be based in our Pembroke, NC Facility.

Your Dayto Day

  1. Identify and repair mechanical, minor electrical, HVAC and Refrigeration defects.
  2. Coordinate and prioritize assigned daily workload for Maintenance Shift Team.
  3. Effectively complete PM's as scheduled to eliminate unplanned downtime.
  4. Participate in RCA on equipment and process failures to provide insight to failure and suggest corrective actions.
  5. Mentor junior technicians on maintenance practices and all technical disciplines needed in order to be successful as a technician.
  6. Work well in a team environment and understand the team is stronger as a unified group vs a team of individuals.
  7. Utilize the continuous improvement mindset and tools to actively participate in identifying and correcting opportunities, improving processes including participation in the creation and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions, the creation and maintenance of preventative maintenance standards, the writing of One Point Lessons, and participation in continuous improvement methodology events.
  8. Train operators on maintenance techniques when called to troubleshoot or repair equipment.
  9. Complete preventative maintenance and other reliability tasks, assist in diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds of machines; partner with engineering or others on non-routine repairs and defect handling solutions.
  10. Understand the management of Quality Systems and be familiar with SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices which help ensure the safety within the workplace and the production of a safe and quality product(s).
  11. Perform other duties as required by supervisor and reporting structure.
  12. Document all Maintenance work activity within CMMS Emaint System.
  13. Effectively support the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program with a goal of continually reducing unscheduled downtime.

What You Bring to the Team
  1. 15+ years of industrial mechanical experience or two-year technical degree preferred.
  2. Must be able to read, write and speak English; preferred if can read, write and speak English and Spanish.
  3. Must be able to successfully complete HACCP Certification.
  4. Must have Forklift License.
  5. Must have fundamental understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic schematics and mechanical drawings in order to solve problems in a timely manner at the component level on all assigned equipment.
  6. Must be able to troubleshoot and repair semi-complex mechanical machinery to include pumps, fans, ovens, control valves, pneumatic controls and hydraulic systems.
  7. Must have experience with Fanuc, ABB Robotics troubleshooting and adjustments.
  8. MIG / TIG / SMAW Welding Ability for repairs.
  9. Must be able to lead layout and installation of piping for water, gas, and pneumatics.
  10. Must have own tools (Required Tool List will be provided).
  11. Must have a flexible schedule.
  12. Must be willing to work overtime including weekends if necessary.
  13. Experience with rigging and lifting of mechanical equipment.
