Job summary

PODS in Suwanee, GA seeks a Maintenance Technician to service container and facility needs. You’ll perform carpentry, painting, tool use, forklift tasks, and general upkeep in a warehouse setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 3–5 years in construction or related trades, ability to read English for safety rules, and experience with hand and power tools; forklift certification will be provided, and a valid driver’s license is required.

• Proven experience using hand and power tools independently.
• Ability to read and understand English in compliance with OSHA safety requirements.

• Ability to become forklift certified and safely operate material‑handling equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• A safety‑first mindset and attention to detail.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Solid work ethic—regular attendance and punctuality are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of repair tasks using hand and power tools with minimal to no supervision.
• Complete general carpentry repairs, painting, caulking, cutting, and cosmetic container repairs.
• Operate forklifts safely (certification provided if not already certified).
• Operate standard shop equipment and perform all required cutting operations safely.
• Pressure wash and clean containers.
• Safely rig and lift materials as part of repair work.
• Move materials using hand carts and assist with staging and organization.
• Follow repair instructions and technical guidance while exercising sound judgment.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our containers and facilities in top condition.

What You’ll Do

Working Conditions & Physicality

• Work in a warehouse/repair center that is not climate controlled.
• Stand, walk, kneel, and crouch—sometimes working above head level or on a ladder.
• Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 lbs.
• Work a flexible schedule that may include Saturdays and overtime when business demands increase.

Compensation

Pay Rate: $20.00–$21.00
