Job summary

MW Components, Inc. in Corona, CA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to perform preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems on plant equipment.

You will read blueprints and use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair, ensuring uptime and safety. The ideal candidate has at least seven years of manufacturing maintenance experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and a solid understanding of PPE and safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum seven years of maintenance experience in manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and PPE usage.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, general, installation and repair maintenance on electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and equipment in the facility.
• Read blueprints, schematics and technical manuals; use diagnostic and measuring devices.
• Prioritize and assign jobs; monitor variances and ensure quality of own work.
• Follow safety policies and manufacturer instructions (EHS, Hazcom, LOTO, PPE).
• Support 6S housekeeping and continuous improvement within the Maintenance Department.

Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Under the direction of a Lead/Supervisor perform preventative maintenance, general maintenance, installations and repairs to electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment/systems and/or routine maintenance duties on the facility, building grounds, equipment and machinery at the site
• Use standard and special maintenance/repair tools including, but not limited to hand tools, saws, drills, cutting devices, grinding tools, measuring devices, etc.
• Work with an attitude toward continuous improvement with a team approach to problem-solving and decision making.
• Prioritize and assign jobs, monitor variances.
• Ensure that appropriate records, instructions and prints are maintained.
• Perform duties a safe manner at all times.
• Follow policies and procedures including manufacturer’s instructions and related regulations (EHS, Hazcom, LOTO, electrical/mechanical safety, etc.)
• Perform Machine Maintenance
• Perform Plant and operations maintenance
• Operating Procedures and/or work instructions. Is responsible for the quality of own work
• Follows schedules, procedures and 6S housekeeping practices
• Be goal-oriented toward manufacturing cost and work center efficiency
• Offers ideas, suggestions, and improvement concepts for improving the utilization and productivity of the Maintenance Department
• Other Duties may be added as required.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and measuring devices.
• Basic understanding of PLCs and industrial automation (advanced skills are a plus).
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum seven (7) years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
