Job summary

Chart, Inc. in Beasley, TX is seeking a Maintenance Tech III to maintain and troubleshoot cryogenic plant equipment on site. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and support installation and commissioning of equipment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in electrical maintenance, CNC repair, and PLC-based control systems, with strong electrical troubleshooting skills. Diesel engine, welding, and fabrication experience are valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical maintenance experience, industrial background
• Experience with CNC machine repair and PLC-based control systems
• Welding and fabrication skills are a plus

Responsibilities

• Performs daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance on all plant equipment
• Performs troubleshooting, problem solving, and countermeasure activities on all production and facility equipment
• Performs mechanical maintenance with frequent electrical (480V, 208V, 120V, 24VDC) and controls-related troubleshooting
• Dismantles machines or equipment using hand tools or power tools to examine parts for defects and repairs or replaces
• Completes daily maintenance paperwork for assigned Work Requests and Checklists
• Assists with installing conduit and wiring for new equipment installations
• Performs special duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor/Manager

What Will You Do?

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance on all plant equipment
• Performs troubleshooting, problem solving, and countermeasure activities on all production and facility equipment
• Performs mechanical maintenance with frequent electrical (480V, 208V, 120V, 24VDC) and controls-related troubleshooting
• Dismantles machines or equipment using hand tools or power tools to examine parts for defects and repairs or replaces
• Completes daily maintenance paperwork for assigned Work Requests and Checklists
• Assists with installing conduit and wiring for new equipment installations
• Performs special duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor/Manager

REQUIREMENTS - MUST BE ABLE TO DO THE FOLLOWING:

• Thorough understanding of maintenance troubleshooting for electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic manufacturing equipment
• Working knowledge of 480 Volt 3 phase power, logic controllers, motor starters and variable frequency drives
• Ability to read and follow written instructions
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings and specifications
• Open to night shift

Your Experience Should Be...

5+ years of electrical maintenance experience (certified electrician preferred with industrial background)

2+ years of experience with CNC Machine Repair

2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment desirable

Experience with troubleshooting PLC based control systems

Strong background in electrical troubleshooting

Diesel engine mechanic experience highly preferred

Welding and fabrication skills considered a plus
