Job summary

A global manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for a weekend shift position in Orwell, Ohio. The technician will focus on preventative maintenance and equipment improvement. Candidates should have 2-3 years of maintenance experience, electrical fundamentals knowledge, and be able to work with PLCs and HMIs. Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Technician II-Weekend Shift to join our team located in Orwell, Ohio.

The Maintenance Technician will ensure robust operation of equipment through preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.

Hourly Rate: $25-$38/hr. commensurate with experience + 20% shift differential w/ possible increase after 90 Day Performance Review.

Schedule: 12-hour shifts- Friday- Sunday 7:00am to 7:00pm

New Hire Bonus until the end of April: $1,000, payout increments at 30-days, 60-days and 6-months of employment!

What Success Looks Like:

• Performing general maintenance of all equipment.
• Assisting in the implementation of new equipment and equipment improvements.
• Performing thorough work and follow-through on the repairs through feedback from internal customers.
• Communicate with other maintenance personnel and line workers to solve equipment issues and perform sustainable solutions.
• Must be able to diagnose failed components and safely work on voltages up to 480V.
• Must know how to properly use a digital voltmeter (DVM).
• Continually coordinate equipment updates, and operational issues with off shift maintenance personnel and other team members as needed.
• knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), drives, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and other electrical components.
• Attend outside training and seminars for continual education.

Your Credentials:

• 2-3 years of maintenance experience
• Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), drives, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and other electrical components experience preferred.
• Ability to pass Electrical fundamentals
