Job summary

Donaldson Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to move, install, maintain, and repair plant machines and systems at our Greeneville, TN facility. You will troubleshoot pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical components, read blueprints, and support upgrades while following OSHA and company safety standards.

Occasional weekend work and forklift operation may be required. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, PLC experience, and ability to work independently with limited supervision

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with PLC systems (troubleshooting and/or programming).
• Ability to troubleshoot pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical/electronic components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, routings.
• Computer proficiency with Oracle and Excel systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to interact professionally at all levels of the organization.
• Pass a written test as part of the selection process.
• Ability to comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work required shifts and occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Move, install, maintain, and repair plant machines and equipment.
• Troubleshoot pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical and electrical/electronic systems.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance checks.
• Assist with equipment setups and calibration for production needs.
• Read blueprints and technical manuals.
• Use CMMS for work orders and parts tracking (training provided).
• Support upgrades, continuous improvement and process optimizations.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and equipment.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
• Respond to equipment breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime.
• Adapt to changing priorities and perform other tasks as assigned.
