Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Perform mid to expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance, including diagnosing device issues, dismantling devices, inspecting parts, adjusting functional parts, repairing or replacing defective components, testing device performance, and working on electrical circuitry and mechanical systems.
  2. Identify and source necessary parts, supplies, and repair items.
  3. Perform maintenance independently according to industry standards.
  4. Set up and operate multiple machining tools such as lathes, drill presses, grinders, and possibly perform welding tasks.
  5. Maintain compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
  6. Participate in continuous improvement activities, focusing on process, results, and cost savings.
  7. Update records and review CMMS history.
  8. Troubleshoot and analyze control systems to resolve software, hardware, and configuration issues.
  9. Use predictive maintenance technologies to monitor equipment performance.
  10. Assist lower-level technicians and lead small teams; undertake advanced functions for training and development.
  11. Complete on-the-job and technical self-study programs for career growth.
  12. Follow all safety policies, rules, and regulations, ensuring situational awareness and safety.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Behaviors Required
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Associate degree with a technical focus and 3 years of related industry experience, or 5 years of relevant experience, or successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program.
  • Understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems with problem-solving skills for repairs.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and specialized equipment.
  • May require travel.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Requires standing, walking, manual dexterity, reaching, climbing, stooping, crouching, and working in confined spaces. Occasionally lifting over 50 pounds, working in loud factory environments, and exposure to hazardous materials and weather conditions. Use of vision and color perception is essential.
