Job summary

Venture Metals+ is seeking a maintenance technician to repair and maintain recycling facility equipment, including Sennebogen and Caterpillar handlers. You will install new equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and document repairs to minimize downtime.

The role requires 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience, the ability to read technical manuals, and a valid state driver’s license. Candidates should be comfortable with various shifts in a non-climate-controlled facility.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of verifiable experience in industrial troubleshooting, maintenance and repair on heavy equipment or heavy industrial manufacturing.

Job description

• This position consists of repairing and maintaining all recycling facility equipment (this includes heavy mobile equipment, conveyors, ballers, shredders, etc.), installing new equipment, and performing preventive maintenance tasks.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment and industrial recycling equipment to minimize downtime and make improvements.
• Responsible for maintaining the Sennebogen and caterpillar machine handlers.
• Perform repair work on systems including hydraulics, electronic/electrical systems, mechanical repairs, basic fabrication, preventive maintenance, and other tasks as assigned.
• Complete work orders and keep detailed notes of repairs performed.
• Identify necessary parts for repairs.
• Use computers/internet to research and source part/equipment replacements.
• Work in multiple positions, including but not limited to kneeling, bending, crouching, elevated in lifts, for extended durations.
• Observe all safety requirements and lead by example in working safely.
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback for coaching.
• Ability to work various shifts if needed.
• Other duties as assigned or directed by maintenance and operations management team.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand; climb; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled production facility.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 - 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
