Job summary

Friends of Switchpoint Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician II to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems in a full-time role at our Salt Lake City campus.

You will diagnose issues, read blueprints, and support installations and improvements while maintaining logs and coordinating with teams to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• 2–5 years of industrial or facility maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, motors, controls, and PLC troubleshooting.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and maintenance software.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and plumbing systems.
• Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements.

PURPOSE:

Maintenance Technician II is responsible for independently performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems. This position requires intermediate technical skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues with minimal supervision.

Compensation

Wage range between $22.00-$24.00/hour
