Job summary

Reading Hospital is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs across equipment, systems and building configurations. The role emphasizes self-direction and using the computerized work order system while communicating with Leads and Managers.

You will operate and maintain the plant, including boilers, chillers, HVAC and associated controls, ensuring reliable, compliant operation in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma - OR - GED - OR - Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education
  • Experience as a maintenance technician in a healthcare or similar facility is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks and day-to-day repairs of equipment, systems and building configurations.
  • Operate, maintain, monitor and repair stationary steam, chilled water, and cogeneration plant including fire tube boilers, electric centrifugal chillers, steam turbine centrifugal chillers, HVAC equipment and related controls.
  • Manage tasks in a self-directed manner using the computerized work order system; communicate with Leads and Managers.
  • Additional duties as assigned by Management.
