Job summary

Yusen Logistics (Americas) Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Tech II for our Long Beach facility. The role focuses on overall maintenance of warehouse infrastructure and equipment, following blueprints and manuals, and using hand tools and measuring instruments.

A strong welding skill set and forklift operation are essential. Responsibilities include safety inspections, machinery diagnostics, and installing or modifying conveyors and other structures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 5+ years maintenance experience.
• Ability to work safely and cooperatively with others.
• Interact with employees and customers in a professional manner.
• Plan, prioritize, and monitor activities to complete tasks on time.

Maintenance Tech II

Location: US-CA-Long Beach

Overview

Salary: $38,934 - $60,943 + eligible for bonus plan

The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for the overall maintenance of the warehouse facility and equipment, following specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings, using hand tools, power tools, forklift, and measuring and testing instruments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety inspections on the building, grounds and equipment including roofing, masonry, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, fire systems, exit doors, dock levelers, dock doors, and pallet racking.
• Inspect and test machinery and equipment, diagnose mechanical problems, dismantle defective machines and equipment, and install new or repaired parts following specifications and blueprints using precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
• Install, fabricate, modify, or demolish conveyors, equipment, offices, and other structures.
• Prepare estimates including materials, labor, and time needed for assigned projects.
• Demonstrate proficiency in MIG, Arc, and Gas Welding.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least five years of experience as a maintenance technician in a related industry (or three years’ experience with a trade school equivalent to two years’ experience).
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Work cooperatively with others.
• Interact with employees and customers in an appropriate manner.
• Plan, prioritize, and monitor activities.
• Complete assigned tasks and projects in a timely manner.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
