Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain recycling facility equipment (heavy mobile equipment, conveyors, balers, shredders).
• Install new equipment and perform preventive maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and repair heavy and industrial equipment to minimize downtime.
• Maintain Sennebogen and Caterpillar machine handlers.
• Repair hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
• Complete work orders and document repairs clearly.
• Identify parts needed for repairs and source replacements online.
• Work in various positions and tolerate lifts and awkward postures.
• Follow safety requirements and promote safe work practices.
• Provide/receive constructive feedback for coaching and improvement.
• May work different shifts as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by maintenance/operations.

Maintenance Tech II

Full Time Technical Dallas, TX, US

Salary Range: $35.00 To $45.00 Hourly

Duties and Responsibilities :

• This position consists of repairing and maintaining all recycling facility equipment (this includes heavy mobile equipment, conveyors, ballers, shredders, etc.), installing new equipment, and performing preventive maintenance tasks.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment and industrial recycling equipment to minimize downtime and make improvements.
• Responsible for maintaining the Sennebogen and caterpillar machine handlers.
• Perform repair work on systems including hydraulics, electronic/electrical systems, mechanical repairs, basic fabrication, preventive maintenance, and other tasks as assigned.
• Complete work orders and keep detailed notes of repairs performed.
• Identify necessary parts for repairs.
• Use computers/internet to research and source part/equipment replacements.
• Work in multiple positions, including but not limited to kneeling, bending, crouching, elevated in lifts, for extended durations.
• Observe all safety requirements and lead by example in working safely.
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback for coaching.
• Ability to work various shifts if needed.
• Other duties as assigned or directed by maintenance and operations management team.

Qualifications :

• A minimum of 3 – 5 years of verifiable experience related to industrial troubleshooting, maintenance and repair experience on heavy equipment or in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.

• Must have your own basic hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Valid State Driver’s License.

Physical Requirements :

• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand; climb; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled production facility.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 - 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
