FULL TIME - 4 DAY WORK WEEK, 10 HOUR WORK DAY

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Tech I / Painter is responsible for providing painting services for the facility. This position is subject to call backs during emergency conditions such as severe weather, evacuation and post-disaster. The Painter respectfully interacts with all residents, family members, visitors, colleagues and staff. This is a safety sensitive position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provides outstanding customer service by ensuring that residents and their families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere, which recognizes the individual’s needs and rights.
• Prepares a variety of surfaces for painting using the most appropriate methods.
• Prepares estimates of material, time and cost for each job.
• Purchases and mixes the appropriate type of paint, lacquer, shellac, etc. for each job.
• Paints surfaces in accordance with safety and cleanliness guidelines and direction of the Director.
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
• Pressure washes, cleans building and sidewalk surfaces.
• Completes drywall and vinyl wallcovering repairs.
