Job summary

Kona Billfisher Resort in Kailua-Kona, HI seeks a Maintenance Technician I to uphold the appearance and functionality of units, buildings, pools, and common areas.

The role covers general maintenance, responding to guest needs, and preventative work. Responsibilities include repairs to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, appliance service, and safety reporting to ensure a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPO and EPA certification or willingness to obtain.
• At least two years of general maintenance experience or equivalent training.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance in guest units, buildings, pools, and common areas.
• Operate hand and power tools and troubleshoot carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues.
• Repair and install appliances as needed; conduct preventive maintenance.
• Inspect and maintain plumbing, electrical fixtures, and HVAC equipment.
• Report safety issues and address them promptly; prioritize work orders and communicate with front desk.
• Maintain property appearance including cleaning and trash removal; assist with grounds tasks as needed.
