Job summary

Maker’s Pride, LLC in Itasca, IL is seeking Maintenance Technicians I–III to perform diversified mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic maintenance with emphasis on preventive work and documentation. Candidates must bring a two-year trades background or equivalent plant maintenance experience and read English proficiently.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, parts replacement, testing, GMP adherence and coordination of parts scheduling with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Has completed or is working on a 2-year trades degree and/or 4 years of plant maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Able to read, write and speak English. Bilingual capabilities are a plus.
• Able to communicate and take direction from Maintenance Manager and communicate effectively with line workers, Leads, Supervisors and Plant Manager.
• Attention to detail.
• Legible record-keeping and data entry skills.
• Must be highly motivated, flexible and have creative problem-solving abilities.
• Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Welding and fabrication, full understanding of 3 Phase electrical, three phase motor controls. Troubleshoot AC & DC drives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance according to skill level and pursuant to safety policies and procedures.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make-adjustments.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those unusual situations to the facility maintenance manager.
• Utilizing Microsoft Office, order and schedule parts as well as jobs.
• Perform work in a safe manner and use Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
