Job summary

Weekender Hospitality seeks a Maintenance Technician I to perform routine maintenance tasks, preventative care, and respond to basic repair requests to keep the property in excellent condition.

You will handle minor repairs, support larger projects under supervision, follow safety procedures, and work with guest and staff requests to ensure a safe, welcoming environment. This entry level role offers hands-on learning and growth in a fast-growing hospitality startup.

Qualifications

• Basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC troubleshooting for minor issues.
• Proficiency in carpentry, painting and general repair tasks.
• Ability to diagnose issues and identify practical solutions.
• Excellent communication to interact with guests and staff.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments.
• Experience using hand and electrical tools; physical stamina required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; able to be on foot most of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic repairs such as light bulb replacement and minor carpentry.
• Assist with routine inspections of equipment and report issues.
• Support outdoor upkeep including landscaping and snow removal.
• Complete assigned work orders accurately and on time.
• Follow safety procedures when using tools and chemicals.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in maintenance areas.
• Provide courteous responses to guest and staff requests.
• Assist Maintenance II and leadership with larger repairs.
