Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Maintenance Tech I to perform routine maintenance, repair, and preventive tasks ensuring safe operation of healthcare facilities. You will work under supervision, following established procedures and life-safety requirements.

The technician maintains building systems and equipment, using hand tools, power tools, measurement devices, and test instruments, while demonstrating professionalism and accountability in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Illinois Driver's License required.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic reading, writing, and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repair, and preventive tasks to support safe operation of healthcare facilities.
• Work under direct supervision and follow departmental procedures, regulatory standards, and life safety requirements.
• Assist in maintaining building systems, equipment, and the physical environment.

Expected pay for this position is $20.21 - $23.77/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid Illinois Driver's License

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 6 months related work experience
• Analytical skills and manual dexterity.
