Job summary

Farmers Co-op Oil Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the safe, efficient operation of our network of convenience stores with car washes, fuel pumps, and food service areas. You will perform repairs, conduct preventive maintenance, and support logistics for oil and additives delivery.

The role requires hands-on technical expertise, the ability to work M-F 7:00–4:00 with occasional evenings and weekends, and a commitment to safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance with car wash systems, fuel dispensers, HVAC, and building maintenance.
• High school diploma required; associate degree or related work experience will be considered.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more, stand for long periods, shovel snow, and work in varied weather conditions.
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills for troubleshooting and resolving maintenance issues.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for reporting and coordination with staff, management, and external contractors.

This role demands technical expertise in equipment maintenance, a proactive approach to preventive care, and logistics management for the delivery of oil and additives. The technician will perform repairs, ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards, and handle light physical demanding tasks to maintain cleanliness and operational excellence. A typical work schedule is M-F, 7:00 – 4:00 PM, a flexible work schedule may be required to include occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays, is essential to support the needs of the business and respond to maintenance emergencies.

Requirements
