Job summary

Equity Lifestyle Properties in Miami, FL is seeking a Maintenance Tech I to perform a variety of upkeep tasks across the community, including light repairs, groundskeeping, painting, and safety checks. You’ll work as part of a team to uphold quality maintenance standards.

This full-time, on-site role requires a valid driver’s license, physical stamina, and flexibility to cover after-hours emergencies and rotating shifts; the position offers competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license, clear driving record and current auto insurance.
• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle heavy equipment.
• Willing to be on call for after-hours emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the amenity spaces are well maintained and working properly.
• Maintain grounds and keep them free from trash and debris.
• Work closely with management to maintain a clean, safe and appealing property.
• Proactively address property-wide aesthetics. Inspect all common areas, amenities, RV sites, and ensure they are made guest-ready.
• Monitor the maintenance and upkeep of all community mechanical equipment, including water heater and HVAC units in common buildings, lawn mowers, weed eaters, etc.
• Assist with cleaning up resort-sponsored guest activities and functions.
• Must be fully prepared and available to work in housekeeping, front desk, and activities coordination as needed.
• Required to handle the after-hours emergency line on a rotating basis.
• Must be available for rotating 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM shifts on Fridays/Saturdays.
• Must handle routine cleaning and cabin turnover duties during staff absences.
• Complete daily operational checklists, perform required routine tasks, and execute scheduled monthly and quarterly property inspections with high accuracy.
• Attend morning staff meetings to communicate daily vendor appointments and required work.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with other maintenance workers, management and staff and work closely with them on all special maintenance projects.
• Report maintenance concerns directly to management and perform repairs.
• You will be required to move heavy objects, and you may drive maintenance trucks to various locations on the property.
• Monitor and control maintenance inventory and supplies.
• Represent the community in a professional manner.
• Other task as assigned by the Resort's General Manager.
