Job summary

Accela Rehab & Care Center at Somerton in Philadelphia is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support daily maintenance operations, basic repairs, and safety compliance within a healthcare setting. This role requires the ability to perform physical tasks and work both independently and as part of a team.

Salary ranges from $16 to $20 per hour with benefits, DailyPay, and opportunities for growth; on-site position with a hands-on management team and a commitment to a safe, well-maintained facility.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred (healthcare setting a plus)
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and able to multitask
• Must be able to lift, bend, and perform physical tasks as required

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day maintenance operations, including basic repairs, painting, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
• Maintain facility equipment and tools in good working order
• Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations
• Support overall cleanliness and upkeep of the building and grounds
