Job summary

Friendship Village Tempe is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our community safe, efficient, and well-maintained. The role focuses on hands-on repairs, preventative maintenance, and support for building systems in a residents-first setting.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of maintenance experience, a valid Arizona driver’s license, and a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card within 30 days of hire. HVAC certifications are preferred and on-call flexibility may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Arizona Driver's License required.
• Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Tackle repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, appliances, and building systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on buildings, equipment, and electric carts.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using tools, testing equipment, and schematics.
• Assist with HVAC, pumps, motors, and other facility systems as qualified.
• Support emergency systems, safety procedures, and building security.
• Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and keep tools and work areas in great shape.
• Provide friendly, professional service to residents and team members.

Pay: $22.20-$24.42 per hour (DOE)

Schedule: Wednesday-Sunday 6:30am-3:00pm

What You'll Do:

• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally and work in varying conditions
• Flexibility for occasional on-call duties
