Job summary

PPS is seeking an entry level Facilities Maintenance Technician for our Parma Heights fabrication operation. The role will perform basic facility maintenance, preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot production equipment in a full-time, permanent position with strong benefits.

Ideal candidates have experience with hand and power tools, basic maintenance duties, and a commitment to safety and quality. 1–2 years in a production setting and a high school diploma or trade school equivalent are

Qualifications

• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to perform basic maintenance duties (light electrical, painting, carpentry, PMs).
• PAYS close attention to safety and detail.
• Willingness to learn and grow as a mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is the top priority.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Dismantle devices to replace defective parts.
• Adjust parts and control instruments.
• Repair, rebuild, or replace defective components.
• Install functional parts in devices.
• Maintain and record data for costing, inventory, and preventive maintenance.
• Perform general building maintenance (lighting, plumbing).
• Operate forklift and elevated platforms.
• Assist with moving, installation, and repositioning of machines.
• Maintain production machinery such as presses, coilers, payoffs, compressors, and related equipment.

PPS is seeking an entry level Facilities Maintenance Technician for our fabrication operation in Parma Hts. The primary role will be to perform basic facility maintenance and preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment. This is a full-time, permanent, direct hire role with excellent benefits (profit sharing bonuses and on-site gym!) and a high ceiling for growth with a 100-year old company!

Responsibilities:

• Safety is your No.1 priority.
• Observes and troubleshoots mechanical and electrical issues.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to remove and replace defective parts.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
• Repairs, rebuilds, or replaces defective parts.
• Installs special functional control and structural parts in devices.
• Maintains and records data for costing, inventory, and scheduled maintenance (performed by machine operators).
• General building maintenance, lighting, plumbing.
• Operate forklift and elevated working platform.
• Assist with moving, installation, repositioning of machines and equipment.
• Repairs, fabricates, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as four slides, coilers, stamping presses, payoffs, flatteners, compressors, tool room machinery and other production machines
