Job summary

NOVO Health Services in Miami is seeking a Maintenance Technician Assistant to perform repairs, adjustments, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting on laundry and boiler room equipment.

Under the supervision of Senior Technicians, you may also handle basic plumbing, carpentry, welding, or electrical work, and you will keep accurate logs and work orders while adhering to OSHA, EPA and HAZMAT guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience performing repairs and preventive maintenance on laundry and boiler room equipment.
• Ability to perform basic plumbing, carpentry, welding, or electrical work under supervision.
• Follows safety protocols including OSHA, EPA, and HAZMAT guidelines.
• Maintains logs and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic equipment issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and daily startup procedures.
• Repair or replace defective parts; test equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Lubricate, align, and maintain mechanical systems (e.g., drives, motors, bearings).
• Operate welding equipment and forklifts safely.
• Follow safety protocols, including OSHA, EPA, and HAZMAT guidelines.
• Maintain accurate logs and work orders.
• Assist with other maintenance tasks as needed.
