International Paper Fort Smith North Container is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to support plant operations. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems, troubleshoot PLCs, read schematics, and work with vendors to ensure equipment reliability.
The role requires five years of maintenance or vocational training in mechanical disciplines, ability to pass drug screen and background checks, and strong teamwork in a safety‑driven
Shift - Fixed Evening Panama schedule (2-2-3), alternating weekly for every-other weekend 3-day weekend

Five (5) year vocational/technical education in the Mechanical Discipline: MILLWRIGHT, MACHINIST, WELDING, OR PIPEFITTING.
3. Proven experience as an electrician
4. Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems
5. Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and
electrical drawings and blueprints
6. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
7. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
8. Knowledge of the function and wiring of PLC’s
9. Locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment
10. Knowledge of the functions of motor frequency drives
11. This is a Safety Sensitive position
12. This is an interview position and will require taking the maintenance skills test prior to
interviewing.
